Net Casino Sucker Bets — Part 2

  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker commonly contain one of these. You usually lay a wager ($1 is the usual value) to attempt to win a side jackpot that could reach twenty-five thousand dollars. Though big jackpots like these are very alluring, they are also incredibly difficult to win. You might need to hit a Royal Flush in order to win this bet. Also, picture this- you wager 20 hands and put the side bet each time. That’s twenty dollars you should have used towards the actual game bet instead of a sucker bet. Imagine what you could have been able to win at a bet with greater odds using that $20.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is completely true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two zeroes on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just 1. This takes the complete casino edge from 2percent with a single zero wheel to a whopping 5percent in American. The individual number bet has only a 1 in 38 chance of winning, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you gamble on it, the house advantage can be a whopping 25%. No, that was not a error. Due to the large amount of numbers you must pick, it’s not recommended to wager on Keno to often. A couple of times for fun, maybe. But don’t waste all your money on it or you’ll immediately find yourself beaten.
