The net gambling business in the UK has increased two fold in five years, with greater than a million punters regularly betting using the net. According to research conducted by the Dept. of Culture, Media and Sport, English bettors make up approx. 1/3rd of the Old World’s estimated total of 3 300 000 internet gamblers.
The average sum bet by each gambler is approximated at one thousand pounds, with the European business now valued at three point five billion pounds each year.
Amongst the seventy web betting sites in the UK, none are gambling sites advertising casino card games such as poker and chemin de fer. A majority of the planet’s 2,000 online wagering casinos are stationed in locations with dubious web gambling regulations. Antigua and Costa Rica are responsible for for more than 1,000 casinos between them.
The Government in the United Kingdom is looking to introduce procedures and a tax setup to manage the operating of the web gaming industry. With such laws in place, web gambling activities would be observed and the business can hope to achieve even bigger penetration in the near future.
